Tiles of cast basalt are engineered ceramic components created by melting natural basalt rock and casting it into molds. After controlled cooling and crystallization, the result is a dense, extremely hard material that is ideal for use in heavy-duty flooring, trench linings, loading platforms, and chemically aggressive areas.
These tiles are widely used across industries due to their superior abrasion resistance, compressive strength, and resistance to acids, alkalis, and temperature extremes.
Cast basalt tiles can be fixed using mortar or adhesives depending on the backside. Grout joints of 3–7 mm are recommended for proper bonding. Due to high hardness, cutting requires water-cooled diamond blades. Specialized corner tiles and custom profiles are available to ensure hygienic, smooth finishes.

Inspection cast basalt tiles are high-performance ceramic tiles made from natural volcanic rock that has been melted and cast into precise shapes. After controlled cooling, the material forms a crystalline structure with exceptional hardness (Mohs 8), high compressive strength, and outstanding chemical stability.

Basalt casting was used as a replacement for iron and steel, which were in short supply after WWII. The crushed natural basalt is heated back to molten lava and then poured into molds to make components such as pipes and floor tiles, which are incredibly hard-wearing and abrasion-resistant.
